About Chris Spence

What kinds of books do you like to read? I enjoy fast-paced fantasy, dystopian sci-fi, various non-fiction, and self-help with a dash of humor.

I write the kind of books I like to read. As of 2026, I'm working on books in all four genres!

When I'm not writing, I work on environmental policy stuff. Oh, and I sing in a California-based rock band.

I've also been an editor, a journalist and a speechwriter, have worked at several non-profit organizations, and consulted for various parts of the United Nations.

From the UK to California, New Zealand to New York, I've been lucky enough to live all over the world.

I'd like to say all these diverse experiences have helped me write engaging and fun books ... but that's really for you to decide. ;)
